EXTRUDER HOODS Extruder hoods are utilized in a negative airlift system which utilizes negative air pressure and is used for conveying product from an extruder to a dryer for further processing/packaging.

    Advantages of a negative airlift system over mechanical transfer systems
  • Partial/Flash pre-drying of the product
  • Improved product expansion
  • Steam and moisture from the extruder are contained within the conveying airstream
  • Reduced opportunity for bacteria growth
