Proximity

PROXIMITY Capacitive proximity sensors use non-contact sensing and solid state circuitry to ensure durability in the most aggressive environments. There is no mechanical energy to cause the sensor to change state; it relies on electrical energy to change state. In contrast to inductive sensors, which only detect metallic objects, capacitive sensors can detect almost any material. They are used in the wood, paper, glass, plastic, food, and chemical industries.
