PAVPU Series Extruder Hood - Purified

PAVPU SERIES EXTRUDER HOOD Horizon's Purified Air Vertical Pick-Up extruder hood has been developed, and field proven, to reduce the presence of Salmonella in extruded product. This is achieved by introducing purified air (99.97% DOP efficiency on 0.3 micron particles) to the extruder pick-up point, at a slight positive pressure, prior to being conveyed via a typical negative airlift conveying stream.

  • Designed for vertical pick-up from the extruder cutting head dye
  • Air operated, hinged, swing-away upper clam shell with quick clamps, two (2) air cylinders and two (2) double solenoid air control valves - NEMA 4 enclosure
  • Air operated, hinged, swing-away lower clam shell with quick clamps, one (1) rotary actuator and one (1) double solenoid air control valve - NEMA 4 enclosure
  • Air operated quick clamp to seal lower clam shell with one (1) proximity type proof switch - NEMA 4 enclosure
  • Air operated by-pass air damper with quick clamps, one (1) air cylinder, one (1) double solenoid air control valve and two (2) proximity type proof switches - NEMA 4 enclosure
  • Two (2) Lexsan view ports
  • Magnahelic differential pressure gauge
  • NEMA 4 junction box
  • Sample gate
  • 304 Stainless steel construction
