This type of conveying system is typically utilized to convey materials that are susceptible to “crushing” or “impact” degradation and also can be utilized when material segregation is of a concern. Continuous dense phase systems typically operate at positive pressures of 8-40 PSIG or negative pressures up to 29” Hg with solids to air ratios (pounds of product per pound of air) of less than 25:1.
ConTran™ technology uses a vacuum-throttling valve, positioned at the intake of the blower. This, in conjunction with our control software, accurately maintains the material-air mass flow ratios at constant levels, resulting in stable, low velocity, 'wave-form', continuous dense phase conveying.
Low product degradation
Reduced product segregation
High convey rates and distances at relatively low pressures
Improved efficiency, resulting in reduced power consumption
Lower capital and operating costs vs. pressure pot / other CDP alternatives
